I arrive a little late today. I'm on flextime and know I'm going to be here for a late meeting. I check my voice mail and e-mail before I do anything else.

9:00 am

I spend the morning working on a model for analyzing cost-per-phase for bulk development. I'm dealing with several variables: what are costs given different product mixes coming through the Lilly drug development pipeline?

11:30 am

Lunch meeting in the Lilly cafeteria with product development and strategy people. We're pulling together a presentation that's going to be given in a few days at a top-level meeting.

1:00 pm

More time to work on my model and team with other associates on our plan for the coming year.

3:00 pm

I'm part of the leadership group of Lilly's African-American Network, and we're planning a big kickoff event.
