As a committed supporter of pharmacy education, Lilly offers an Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience program available to students entering their clerkship (P4) year of an accredited Doctor of Pharmacy program in the United States who have completed their didactic course work.
The Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience program is designed to introduce students to the pharmaceutical industry and provide a deeper understanding of the drug development process. Students will develop and enhance their knowledge of our industry and its place in the practice of pharmacy, as well as learn about the various roles that pharmacist have within our industry. Each student will be assigned a preceptor within a specific department and the types of rotations offered may vary each year.
Rotation availability is determined late fall for the upcoming academic year and filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. The rotation is a non-paid experience and can range from 4 to 8 weeks in length. There are no stipends or assistance provided for housing or travel to Indianapolis; all costs related to the rotation are the responsibility of the student.
To arrange a rotation, please contact your experiential coordinator at your respective school of pharmacy. Please note that due to the high demand for rotational opportunities, we are currently unable to accept new affiliations. For more information on our program, experiential coordinators may contact:
