Let’s begin with Step 4.
Always use a new pen needle for each injection. This helps prevent infections and avoids blocked needles. Remove the paper tab from the outer needle shield.

If you do not see medicine at the tip of the needle, repeat steps 7-9, no more than 2 additional times. If you still do not see medicine, then change the pen needle and repeat steps 7-9, no more than 1 additional time. If you still do not see medicine, contact Lilly at 1-888-545-5972.
