Patients will receive training and educational materials on proper administration in their shipping box as well as their pharmacy communications.

Depending on your state’s regulations permit, patients will also have the ability to purchase injection supplies (including pen needles, needles, syringes, and alcohol swabs) through the dispensing pharmacy at checkout for a small additional fee without a prescription. LillyDirect Pharmacy fills prescriptions as written. Providers must submit a new prescription for any change in medicine, dose, or format, including dose escalations. When transitioning patients from one medicine to another, a new prescription is required.

If an incorrect dose or format is submitted, a corrected new prescription must be sent, as the dispensing pharmacy cannot modify existing prescriptions.

Providers can proactively send new prescriptions at any time. Refill management is handled by the dispensing pharmacy in coordination with the patient, and renewals are requested directly from the provider's office when refills are exhausted. Patients transferring from another pharmacy do not need to cancel their existing prescription; a new prescription sent to LillyDirect initiates the process independently.
