Cost Center Resources

Instructions on how to search cost centers on the CCFile using Internet Explorer:

To view the file click on the link "Cost Center Validation Tool" located at the bottom of this instructions page. To search the cost center within the PDF document, hold and press the Ctrl and F keys.

  • A search bar will appear in the upper right hand corner of the screen. Enter the cost center number in the search and click "Enter" once. Do not hit "Enter" multiple times, the search tool will look for all the instances of that number in the entire file.
  • If the cost center entered is not valid, a pop up message window will say:"Acrobat has finished searching the document. No matches were found." You will need to contact a Lilly representative to get the correct cost center.
  • If a cost center is found, the cell containing the number searched will be highlighted. Use the cost center number located to the right of the number found. In most cases it will be the same number, but a few instances there may be an alternative number listed that you will need to use.
  • If the error message "Error: Invalid Cost Center - Contact Your Lilly Customer" is next to the number searched, contact a Lilly representative. The cost center number searched is either inactive or no longer valid.

  • To search the cost center within the PDF document, hold and press the Ctrl and F keys.
  • Enter the cost center number in the search bar located in the upper right hand corner of the screen. Do not hit "Enter", if you do, the search tool will look for all the instances of that number in the entire file. A search counter (0 of 0, 1 of 1, or 1 of 2) will appear in the right side of the search bar. The counter indicates how many matches if any, were found for the cost center entered.
  • If no match was found for that number (the search counter will show "0 of 0"), you will need to contact a Lilly representative to get the correct cost center.
  • If a match was found (the search counter will show "1 of 1" or "1 or 2"), the cell containing the number searched will be highlighted. Use the cost center number located to the right of the number found. In most cases it will be the same number, but a few instances there may be an alternative number listed that you will need to use.
  • If a match is found but the following message "Error: Invalid Cost Center - Contact Your Lilly Customer" appears next to the number searched, contact a Lilly representative. The cost center number found is either inactive or no longer valid.
