Onboarding and External Workers
Suppliers with employees who require Lilly IT systems access and/or Lilly unescorted site access (badge) are required to be on-boarded through our Vendor Management System for external workers.
- Once you have a contractual agreement with Lilly and your Lilly contact submits a request to have you registered, you will receive an email invitation to register in the Vendor Management System. This is only required for suppliers who have workers who require Lilly IT systems access and/or Lilly unescorted site access.

After completing the supplier Vendor Management System registration process, you will receive instructions by email for your account set-up. Job aids are available in the Vendor Management System for details on how to manage the lifecycle administration for your workers.

All workers who require Lilly access are required to follow local screening requirements.
In the United States, a background check and drug screen in compliance with Lilly’s US Screening Standards (found in the Vendor Management System) is required for any worker receiving Lilly unescorted site access (badge).
Risk Assessment and Safety Orientation
- Complete a risk assessment with Lilly Safety Management Group.
- At a minimum, contractors must attend the Contractor Risk Level 1 Contractor Orientation:
