Driving scalable innovation with the NHS

We’ve successfully delivered a portfolio of full-service redesign projects in partnership with the NHS. However, we recognise the challenges of scaling these blueprints across the wider health system.

In response, we have adopted a new, collaborative approach to clinical transformation – breaking outcomes into practical, bite-sized steps. Through co-creation with healthcare professionals and system leaders, we’ve developed a suite of practical tools to support practice managers, Integrated Care Board leads, and frontline teams.

These tools offer a personalised and accessible way to help teams find the right patients, prioritise care, and manage populations more effectively, enabling smarter use of clinical capacity, improved outcomes, and scalable change across the NHS.

Our Enabling Innovation Tools

We are proud to have launched the first tools under this framework.

Our Donations of Service: PARM tool

PARM (Pro-Active Register Management) is a tool developed in 2018 by Lilly in partnership with the NHS to help GP practices identify patients with type 2 diabetes who require treatment reviews, grouping them into manageable cohorts. Building on this, we now offer a PARM Obesity version to support structured care in obesity management.

This simple-to-use population health management tool enables clinical teams to:

  • Transition from ad-hoc patient care to a structured population health approach
  • Identify potential patient safety issues
  • Improve resource utilisation and capacity planning
  • Allocate skill sets to the right patient cohorts
  • Organise virtual or in-practice clinics around specific cohorts
  • Foster collaboration between primary and secondary care, leaving a legacy of shared learning from specialists

All tools are non-promotional and reflect our commitment to transparency, with services provided as signed donations and fully reported through Transfer of Value submissions to the ABPI, ensuring clear and agreed documentation. Any NHS colleague, whether at national level, within an Integrated Care Board (ICB), a Primary Care Network (PCN), or any healthcare professional, is welcome to contact our team to explore how these tools can support their specific needs.
