Our European footprint, R&D and manufacturing sites in Europe

Lilly is a medicines company with over 43,000 employees worldwide, including more than 9,000 in Europe. One of five (23,8%) employees is active in R&D. 27.3% of sales is reinvested in R&D, representing ~9313Million US$ in 2023. Clinical research is performed in 55 different countries.

In addition to commercial activities that span the whole of Europe, we have a considerable R&D and manufacturing presence located across five countries in Europe, as well as nine beyond.
