Lilly strives to create and deliver innovative medicines that enable people to live longer, healthier and more active lives.

As a component of this goal, Lilly Canada is committed to supporting projects that promote excellence in patient care and provide valuable information to the medical and patient advocacy communities.

Support for medical research

Lilly believes that through collaboration with external partners we can advance the science and knowledge required to develop new medicines. We support independent research projects in areas of mutual therapeutic interest and need.

Real World Evidence

Real world evidence (RWE) projects are scientific research projects in which real world data sources (e.g., existing patient registries and databases) are analyzed to provide insights on diseases, medicines, patient populations and health care practices. Reach out to your existing contact on Lilly’s Medical team to learn more.

Independent Research Grants

Research organizations may request research grants to further their Independent Research projects. It is not the intent that this grant would cover the entire cost of the research project. Reach out to your existing contact on Lilly’s Medical team to learn more.

Investigator-Initiated Trials

Lilly has a program for considering external requests for Lilly to provide study drug and/or financial support for Investigator Initiated Research that is initiated, designed and sponsored by external researchers. Health care and research professionals may learn more and submit a concept for an investigator-initiated trial online. Please note that this information is available in English only.
