At Lilly, we realize that positive patient outcomes are about more than just medicine.
Lilly sponsors a variety of programs designed to support patients, including scholarships, award recognition, and tools for healthy living.

F.A.C.E
The Fearless African-Americans Connected and Empowered (F.A.C.E.) Diabetes Campaign is a grassroots movement targeting African-Americans in the United States. Its goal is to help individuals, families, and neighborhoods overcome key barriers to success in living with diabetes. African-Americans are disproportionately affected by diabetes. Supported by Eli Lilly and Company, and national and local health advocacy organizations, the F.A.C.E. Diabetes campaign includes a series of practical and sustainable programs, which will help foster behavioral and attitudinal changes in areas critical to success in managing diabetes, such as nutrition and cooking, physical activity, health, and overall well-being.

Focus on Your Possibilities Scholarship Program
These special scholarships recognize adults with ADHD who have demonstrated the initiative and passion to capitalize on their talents through education. Lilly will award 21 educational scholarships of up to $5,000 each based on merit and recommendation. The goal is to support adults with ADHD in their ongoing quest for more enriched lives.

Health Education Programs
Offering relevant, non-branded interventions that are based on the most recent clinical research and findings is one example of how Lilly seeks to meet the needs of patients. In the U.S., we have received Program Design Certification from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) for three disease management programs. We also have received Health Information Products (HIP) certification for a fourth intervention focusing on health education.

Heroes in the Fight
Heroes in the Fight celebrates dignity, courage, hope, and recovery in the ongoing treatment of persons with serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI) by recognizing "heroes" who provide care and support for persons with SPMI and their families. The program is implemented in partnership with the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill and the Mental Health America advocacy organizations in participating mental health communities across the United States. Recognition categories include psychiatrists, allied health professionals, community supporters, media professionals, and treatment teams.

Inspired by Diabetes
Inspired by Diabetes is a global campaign asking people with diabetes, as well as their families, friends, and health care professionals, to express how diabetes has impacted their lives - and share those stories with others around the world. At the heart of Inspired by Diabetes is the Creative Expression Competition, which seeks expressions of the challenges and triumphs of the diabetes journey through art, essay, poetry, and photography. Inspired by Diabetes is a collaboration between global champions Eli Lilly and Company and the International Diabetes Federation's Unite for Diabetes initiative.

Lilly Oncology on Canvas
In partnership with the National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship (NCCS), the Oncology on Canvas Expressions of a Cancer Journey Art Competition and Exhibition honors the millions of Americans who have been affected by cancer. This biennial competition provides people in the U.S. and Puerto Rico with an opportunity to express visually, and in narrative, the many emotions and experiences that define the cancer journey. For more information about the Lilly Oncology on Canvas Art Competition and Exhibition, call (800) 734-4131.

The Journey Awards
The Lilly Diabetes Journey Awards program, formerly known as LillyforLifeâ„¢, recognizes diabetes patients who have successfully managed their disease with the help of insulin for 25, 50, or 75 years or more. Since 1974, Lilly has presented more than 2,000 insulin medals to people affected by diabetes. These individuals serve as an inspiration to all people affected by diabetes, for learning how to manage their disease and adapting to the ever-changing technology of diabetes care throughout their diabetes journey.

Lilly Reintegration Scholarship
The goal of this program is to help persons with bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and/or related schizophrenia-spectrum disorders to acquire the educational and vocational skills to reintegrate into society, secure jobs, and regain their lives. Founded in 1997, the scholarship has funded hundreds of students pursuing careers in engineering, law, psychiatry, graphic design, social work, architecture, education, computer sciences, and more.

Lilly Reintegration Awards
This recognition program is a nationwide initiative that honors outstanding achievements made by mental health treatment teams, programs or services, as well as individuals who are succeeding in their personal battles with psychiatric illness. The treatment team award categories are Advocacy, Clinical Medicine, Education, Employment, Housing, and Social Support. Individuals may be nominated for Achievement, Artistic Contribution, or Mentorship.

Solutions for Wellness
The Solutions for Wellness program provides personalized healthy living information, tools, and support for people with mental illness. This program works with your doctor's treatment plan and your medication. The goal is to teach you simple changes you can make to live a healthier life.

Support Partners Program
The Support Partners Program provides practical help for people with major depressive disorder and the people who care about them. Having a Support Partner — someone to lean on and be honest with — can make a real difference for someone suffering from depression. The Support Partners guidebooks help readers understand the illness and the importance of seeking treatment from a professional, as well as how to create important partnerships — whether you have depression or know someone who does. Support Partners: Canine Companions — the newest component of Support Partners — offers another step in the recovery process by helping people expand their support network to include a dog as part of the support team.

Welcome Back Awards
Sponsored by Lilly, the Welcome Back Awards is a national program launched in 1998 to fight the stigma associated with depression and help the public understand that depression is treatable. The awards, announced annually, recognize excellence and courage in the mental health community. They acknowledge outstanding accomplishments in the following areas: community service, destigmatization, primary care, psychiatry, and lifetime achievement. An independent committee of mental health community leaders selects the winners from hundreds of nominations. As part of the awards, Lilly makes a donation to the not-for-profit institution of each honoree's choice. More information is available by calling (212) 884-0650.
