A Day of Giving 2024: Lilly Global Day of Service

This year marks the 17th anniversary of our Global Day of Service (GDOS), where Lilly employees worldwide volunteer in their local communities. Since the inaugural GDOS in 2008, our team has made an impact in 65 countries, racking up more than 1.2 million service hours and completing more than 1,000 community service projects.

This year, our Global Day of Service projects focused on building healthy lives, minds and communities. In Belgium, the GDOS volunteers spent a fulfilling day with Polly's Ranch for Special Kids.

Polly's Ranch for Special Kids focuses on helping children in need of special care by providing opportunities for personal development. They emphasize individualized care, considering each person’s unique abilities and needs. They use animal-assisted therapy to facilitate intuitive, non-judgmental interactions, particularly benefiting children who struggle with social relationships. Since 2015, their dedicated team of volunteers and animals has been committed to supporting their target group’s growth and development..

With a real Team Lilly spirit, the Belgian volunteers gave a helping hand !
