Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

Embracing diversity, equity and inclusion is at the core of our long-held value of respect for people.

Celebrating Our Differences. Sharing Our Success.

To solve some of the toughest challenges in medicine we need the most innovative ideas. That is why we are committed to creating and sustaining an open, inclusive and diverse environment, where everyone feels valued, respected and heard. Through the sharing of a diverse range of perspectives, experiences and skills, we can inspire each other to think differently, generate ideas and deliver innovative healthcare solutions.

Diversity, equity and inclusion is the bedrock of our workplace culture. For us, embracing diversity means understanding, respecting, and valuing differences, including but not limited to race, colour, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, disability, or any other legally protected status.

From recruiting and hiring, to talent management processes and supervisor coaching, we see direct benefits when our workforce represents the customers we serve. A strong emphasis has been placed on inclusive leadership, conscious inclusion education and psychological safety to assist employees to be the best they can be and to celebrate diverse views and ideas.

At Lilly, we believe every person has the right to come to work and be their true selves. It is our goal to create an environment of belonging and safety that enables all our employees to speak up and feel respected, valued, and heard.

Employee Groups

In Ireland, we have several employee groups which foster a culture of belonging. These groups offer strong support networks and provide the opportunity to learn about the many cultures that make up Lilly. All employees are welcome and encouraged to join.

The Gender Inclusion Network

The Gender Inclusion Network works to remove obstacles that prevent women and men at Lilly from achieving their full potential by challenging attitudes and beliefs about gender. We do this by identifying barriers, and raising awareness of individual gender bias. Our ‘Men as Allies’ programmes and driving gender parity are our key focus points.
