Lilly strives to create informative and engaging online communities that share information in meaningful ways. We welcome your participation and engagement in thoughtful and respectful discourse. When you engage with any of Lilly’s social media channels, you are agreeing to these Community Guidelines in addition to the Terms and Conditions or other legal notices provided by Lilly and those of the respective platform (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, etc.).

Please maintain a level of civility when sharing opinions and follow the guidelines below: 

  • Refrain from sharing comments that contain: 

    • use of our products for purposes that are not approved by the appropriate regulatory body;

    • comments or inferences about our competitors; 

    • information that is false, inaccurate, deceptive, misleading or not relevant to the conversation; 

    • confidential or non-public information belonging to yourself or others; 

    • defamatory comments; abuse; threats; and obscene, indecent or otherwise inappropriate statements; 

    • advertising or promoting sites, initiatives, products or services; 

  • If you are under the age of 18, do not share your comment without the knowledge and permission of a parent or legal guardian. 

  • Personal Information about yourself or others shared on this site will be capable of being viewed by users of the platform. Ensure you have permission before sharing Personal Information about others.

  • Be mindful of others’ intellectual property; don’t post any content that will infringe others’ copyright or trademark. 

We reserve the right to reject or remove comments that are not in keeping with these guidelines and to block or ban users/followers who violate these guidelines. 

We also want you to know that: 

  • Due to the nature of our industry, we are not able to talk about certain topics with you online. If that is the case, we will let you know and suggest others means by which to connect. 

  • We have medical professionals available to respond to health care professionals' and consumers' questions Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Eastern time, excluding company holidays. Representatives are available at 1-800-Lilly-Rx (1-800-545-5979).

  • Accounts that we may follow or that follow and/or engage with us do not indicate our endorsement or affiliation to the account or the content posted to it.

  • Our posts are informational and should not be viewed as professional or medical advice. Always seek the guidance of your physician regarding questions you may have about a medical condition.

  • We will do our best to moderate and respond to your comments as quickly as we can, but please note that we may be unable to respond to all questions or comments, including where there are technical limitations including, but not limited to the Direct Messages sent to our Instagram accounts.
